Lions superfan Eminem gets heated with 49ers fans at NFC Championship Game.

Marshall Mathers III, better known by his stage name Eminem, was seen directing an obscene hand gesture toward 49ers fans at Levi’s Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

The 15-time Grammy-winning rapper has been a vocal supporter of his hometown Detroit Lions throughout their three-game run so far in the NFL playoffs after 30 years without a single playoff win.

It is not clear what led up to the interaction, but the 51-year-old “Lose Yourself” rapper has a history of making waves in public:

His Wikipedia page has subsections for 10 different feuds and four controversies. Perhaps most public were feuds with musical artist Moby and the controversy over his anti-gay lyrics. (He has since publicly supported gay rights.)

Another video showed the rapper celebrating a touchdown at another point in the game.

Before the Lions played the Los Angeles Rams in the wild-card round, Eminem starred in a social media video where he pleaded with former Detroit quarterback Matthew Stafford to let the host Lions win.

Slim Shady’s favorite team is playing in its first conference championship since 1991, when he was 18 years old, and the Grammy award-winning artist was just one of many Lions fans who made the trip from Michigan to the Bay Area.
