JUST IN: Lakers in Crisis! Injury Update Ahead of Celtics Showdown – 4 Key Rotation Players Could Be Sidelined

Your Los Angeles Lakers have started off their six-game Grammy road trip in embarrassing fashion, having dropped their first two contests of the bout in a back-to-back on Monday and Tuesday. Unfortunately, things could get even uglier tonight. At 4:30 p.m. PT in a TNT broadcast that may not be nearly as appetizing as schedule-makers had initially hoped preseason, LA is slated to square off against its 12-time NBA Finals nemesis, the Boston Celtics, at TD Garden. The 24-25 Lakers, who currently occupy the Western Conference’s ninth seed, might be facing the No. 1 seed in the East without its own two best players.

Per the NBA’s most recent injury report, Los Angeles All-Stars LeBron James and Anthony Davis are currently considered questionable. Davis sat out last night’s 138-122 blowout loss to the Atlanta Hawks with a bilateral Achilles tendinopathy and left hip spasm, which appears to be lingering, given his uncertain status. James has been playing admirably through a left ankle peroneal tendinopathy of late (aside from, you know, defense). Missing either star would essentially doom LA’s chances against one of the best clubs in the league. Missing both would make this national game hilariously skippable. Point guard Gabe Vincent (left knee effusion surgery) and small forward Cam Reddish (right ankle sprain) remain sidelined.
