Dziekanowski’s Shocking Revelation: Celtic’s £4.3m Star Set for Loan Exit Amid Unhappiness

The Hoops boss has culled a number of players he signed off on in the summer transfer window as the Celtic fans saw the likes of Hyeokkyu Kwon and Marco Tilio leave in January.

Gustaf Lagerbielke was another who was given permission to find a new club until an injury to Cameron Carter-Vickers put a stop to that.

And now another has been tipped to leave in the coming transfer window. Former Celtic hero, Dariusz Dziekanowski, has said he believes that Maik Nawrocki could be allowed to leave on loan as the ‘unhappy’ defender struggles in Paradise.

Dziekanowski said [Daily Record], “I thought Nawrocki played quite well in the first few weeks but unfortunately got injured.

“It took him some time to get back to fitness but it’s been difficult to get into the starting line-up.

“I know he’ll be unhappy at not playing, as every player would be, but it is his own hands.

“This is a big chance for him to play for a massive club.

“It’s difficult for me to say why he isn’t on the pitch all the time. It’s difficult for supporters as well.

“They might say ‘We paid a lot of money for this player, why does he not play?’. But the manager will see his progress and what he’s doing in training and in games.

“He has a very good manager there and he will be learning from him. I am sure Celtic have a plan for him. It might be to gradually get him into the team – or maybe go out on loan for six months and then come back stronger.”

Who knows what the future may hold for the former Polish U21 international? Seeing a dream move to Celtic turn sour in such a short space of time must be leaving Nawrocki feeling absolutely bemused.

For Rodgers to sanction £4.3m on a player in the summer and then rarely have him feature in the team has raised questions on whether or not he was even wanted by the Celtic manager.

It’s not a great return for a player who was the club’s most expensive signing of the summer window.

Are we likely to see Nawrocki feature anytime soon this season? Only Brendan Rodgers knows the answer to that question but looking at how the Pole has been used sparingly so far, it is highly unlikely.
