Austin Fc Hires Another Coach In The Capacity Of…
Austin FC II has announced that Chris Harmon has joined the team as a new Assistant Coach. Harmon’s most recent role was with the New York Red Bulls Academy, where he was the U-17 Head Coach.
Originally from Downington, Pennsylvania, he attended Old Dominion University where he played collegiate soccer and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in health & physical education.
His coaching career began at the collegiate level where he served as an Assistant Coach at Florida Southern College before returning to his alma mater Old Dominion in the same role.
Harmon then spent some time as a Head Coach & Assistant Academy Director at Barca Residency Academy.
Harmon joins Head Coach Brett Uttley and Goalkeeper Coach Cameron Sauro on the Austin FC II coaching staff. The team kicks off its 2024 season on Friday, March 15 at 8:00 p.m. CT, taking on Tacoma Defiance at Parmer Field at St. David’s Performance Center.
