Confirmed Josh Wolff Is Going On Mutual Consent.
Austin FC announced today that Head Coach Josh Wolff has signed a three-year contract extension with the Club, continuing as Head Coach of the Verde & Black through the end of the 2025 Major League Soccer (MLS) season.
Through the Club’s first 10 regular season matches, Wolff has ATXFC currently positioned at second overall in the Western Conference and second overall in the Supporters’ Shield standings and a 6-2-2 record.

“We are extremely fortunate to have such a highly respected and highly talented coach lead our coaching staff, and we’re both grateful and appreciative for all of the work he puts in to representing Austin in the best way possible.
Wolff, 45, officially became Austin FC’s first-ever Head Coach in November 2019. The Club hired him from the U.S. Men’s National Team (USMNT) staff, where he was an assistant coach under Gregg Berhalter and played a role in the team’s run to the final of the 2019 Concacaf Gold Cup.
Previously, Wolff was an assistant on Berhalter’s staff for five (5) seasons with the Columbus Crew. Wolff’s first coaching role was with D.C. United as an assistant coach in 2013, helping the club win the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup that season.
