A year after his horrific injury, Dak Prescott faces one last hurdle in comeback trail vs. Giants
FRISCO — Dak Prescott sat in the locker room, crying. His expression said it all: The Cowboys quarterback was worried.
His right leg was in a protective boot. An ambulance waited in one of the many tunnels of AT&T Stadium to take him to a hospital, where staff prepped for emergency surgery.
Jerry Jones, the Cowboys owner and general manager, hurried to the locker room from his suite located near the 50-yard line. During the summer of 2020, Jones and Prescott had been locked in contract talks that placed franchise quarterback’s future in doubt.
And now, here was Prescott sitting in the Cowboys locker room with his lower right leg swelling up after he had suffered injury that required a bone to be put back into place.
