Seattle Storm Rookie Nika Mühl Poked Fun At US Immigration Services With Her Pregame Outfit.

Seattle Storm rookie Nika Muhl made her WNBA debut last night after missing the first few games of the season due to her issues with her work visa.

After getting the visa issue squared away, Muhl pulled up to the Storm’s game against Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever on Wednesday night wearing a shirt that poked fun at US Immigration Services.

Muhl’s shirt was a picture of herself as a visa form with “APPROVED” stamped across it.

The 14th overall pick in the WNBA Draft would come off the bench against the Fever and played just 3 minutes, racking up 2 rebounds in that time. As for Clark, she led the storm with 21 points to go along with 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Despite the performance of Clark, however, the Fever’s record is currently 0-5.

“I was shaking. It was unreal. It was surreal,” Muhl told reporters after the game, which the Storm won by a score of 85-82 to improve their record to 2-3.

I always say I never dreamed of stuff like this because it was always kind of too far to reach it in my head, but I trust my work and I trust that I deserve to be here. I love being here. I love Seattle. I love my teammates, I love my coaches, and I love the program and the history and what it brings. These fans, I love them the most of everything.”

Muhl, 23 years old, is from Croatia and played her college basketball under Geno Auriemma at the University of Connecticut from 2020 to 2024.

After the game, Muhl and Clark posed for a picture together at center court.
