Callum Hudson-Odoi insists he is “not impatient” despite being in a hurry to play for club and country.
The 18-year-old made his senior England debut against Czech Republic on Friday and could be involved in Montenegro tonight despite not having started a Premier League game for Chelsea.
That frustration of a lack of playing time at Stamford Bridge has seen the teenage winger stall on a new contract, with Bayern Munich desperate to sign him this summer.
But despite clearly being desperate to push his career on, Hudson-Odoi insists his remarkable England call-up will not see him get carried away with his sudden fame.
He said: “I’m not impatient. Obviously I’m always keen to play football, I love the game. But at times you’ve got to be patient and wait for your chance to come and hopefully many more will come.
