Reigning NASCAR Cup Series champion Ryan Blaney’s fianceé Gianna Tulio has urged the fans to vote for the Team Penske driver ahead of the 2024 ESPY Best Driver award. Blaney is going head-to-head against the likes of Max Verstappen, Matt Hagan, and Alex Palou.
Team Penske driver Ryan Blaney registered his name into the history books as he clinched his maiden Cup Series championship in 2023.
Facing fierce competition from the likes of Kyle Larson and William Byron, Blaney persevered as he secured a second-place finish in the season finale behind Ross Chastain to win the title.
His championship-winning historic campaign has now helped Blaney get nominated for ESPN’s 2024 ESPY Best Driver award.
Blaney, 30, will compete against reigning F1 champion Max Verstappen, the 2023 NHRA Funny Car World Champion Matt Hagan, and the 2023 IndyCar Series champion Alex Palou.
While Red Bull’s Max Verstappen, who has won three consecutive World Championships, enters the ceremony as the favorite driver, NASCAR fans haven’t shied away from showing their support towards Ryan Blaney. Among those in the 30-year-old’s corner is none other than his fianceé Gianna Tulio.
Tulio, who got engaged to Blaney in December of last year after the latter’s championship win, took to her Instagram to show her support towards the Team Penske driver. Via her Instagram stories, Tulio shared a screenshot of the 2024 ESPY Best Driver award polls, writing the caption:
