Breaking: Rara Thomas commits to the Georgia bulldogs…

Just before their season opener against Clemson, Georgia suffers a significant setback. Predicted to be a vital member of the Bulldogs’ offense, wide receiver Rara Thomas was taken into custody early on Friday morning. According to ESPN’s Mark Schlabach, there are significant allegations against him, including two misdemeanor counts of battery-family violence and a second-degree felony for cruelty to children.

According to Georgia’s athletic policies, Thomas faces an immediate suspension as a result of these charges. He has experienced problems before after leaving Mississippi State last year, when he was also charged with family violence. Despite setbacks with injuries, Thomas—a highly sought-after recruit out of Alabama—managed 23 receptions for 383 yards and a touchdown in the previous season. On Saturday, August 31, Georgia’s highly anticipated home opener against Clemson will take place in Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium (12 p.m., ABC).
