Breaking: Netflix reportedly set to Premier a SEC documentary that will feature Georgia Bulldogs…

Netflix is set to premiere an eight-part docuseries in the summer of 2025, offering an in-depth look into the Southeastern Conference (SEC) football season. This series aims to capture the drama and pageantry of SEC football, providing viewers with a behind-the-scenes perspective on the conference’s teams and their journeys throughout the 2024 season.

The docuseries will consist of 45-minute episodes, each focusing on different aspects of the SEC football experience. It will delve into the strategies, challenges, and triumphs of the teams, highlighting the intense rivalries and the rich traditions that define SEC football. The series is produced by Box to Box Films, renowned for their work on other successful sports docuseries such as “Formula 1: Drive to Survive” and “Full Swing.”

However, not all SEC teams will be featured in the docuseries. The University of Georgia Bulldogs, along with Alabama, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, and Texas, have opted out of participation. This decision aligns with Georgia’s approach under head coach Kirby Smart, who emphasizes maintaining the program’s internal focus and limiting external distractions.

Despite the absence of these prominent teams, the docuseries will focus on the remaining ten SEC schools, offering fans a unique glimpse into their operations, challenges, and successes during the 2024 season. The series is anticipated to showcase the rich traditions, intense rivalries, and compelling narratives that define SEC football.

The 2024 SEC football season was particularly eventful, with Texas and Oklahoma joining the conference, adding new dynamics to the competition. Additionally, three SEC teams—Georgia, Texas, and Tennessee—qualified for the 12-team college football playoff, highlighting the conference’s strength and competitiveness.

For fans of SEC football, this docuseries promises an engaging and insightful look into the conference’s 2024 season, offering a blend of on-field action and off-field stories that contribute to the unique culture of SEC

football.
