The Kentucky Wildcats are actively exploring the transfer portal to strengthen their roster for next season. They’ve reached out to numerous prospects, and now they are in discussions with guard Tyrone Riley IV.
According to Dushawn London of 247Sports, Kentucky is one of the teams that has either met with Riley in person or conducted a Zoom call with him, as confirmed by his agent.
Riley, a three-star recruit out of high school, initially chose San Francisco over offers from schools like Texas A&M and Florida. He is currently ranked among the top 50 players in the transfer portal by 247Sports.
Standing at 6’6″ and weighing 180 lbs, Riley earned a spot on the West Coast Conference All-Freshman team after averaging 9.6 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 1.2 steals per game. He also made 32% of his three-point attempts.
Riley has attracted interest from several other programs, including Arizona, Arkansas, and Texas.
