BBC Report: Fulham are hosting Sheffield United at Craven Cottage on Saturday as all signs point towards a morale-boosting win…

Fulham hosts Sheffield United at Craven Cottage on Saturday, with signs pointing to a morale-boosting victory for Marco Silva’s side.

After losing at home to Chelsea on Monday, Fulham have lost three of their first seven games of the season and are the top-flight’s worst scorers with just five goals so far.
Of course, replacing Aleksandar Mitrovic would have always been difficult, but with Silva’s team seemingly unbalanced, he is likely to take a chance on either Carlos Vinicius or Raul Jimenez.
I hope they have at least half of Mitrovic’s repeats.

Sheffield United are on track to lose three games in a row, conceding 12 goals.
The 8-0 home defeat to Newcastle really upset Paul Heckingbottom’s side, and last weekend’s 2-0 defeat against West Ham saw them fall well below par.
Will the Blades simply be underwhelming this season?
They are one of only two teams yet to win in the Premier League this season, but this is the kind of game the newcomers need to win to prove they are back at the top.

As mentioned above, goals have been a problem for Fulham, and there’s no telling when that will end. They have great attacking talent in Willian, Harry Wilson, Adama Traore, Alex Iwobi and Andreas Pereira, but Fulham need more than the 10 goals they need from their central strikers to significantly exceed their retention target. Will Jimenez be able to regain his form? Drop zone? That’s going to be a big question. Torsin is out with injury, while winger Traore and right-back Kenny Tete are doubts.

Focus on Sheffield United
The Blades will be looking to make this a tense and brutal match, and then hope that the duo of Olly McBurnie and Cameron Archer can produce a great finish in attack. It will be difficult to break the 3-5-2 formation, but Fulham are pushing their full-backs, so it will be interesting to see how the battle on the flanks develops. John Egan, Max Lowe, Ben Osborne, Daniel Jevison, George Baldock, Reece Norrington-Davies and William Osla all remain sidelined, while John Fleck has recovered from a broken leg and is fit again. There is a possibility of fixing it.
