They were the scourge of the league, riding high with an NFL-best record of 10-1 but they are no longer flying so high.

It would seem the Giants are catching the Eagles at the right time.
Coach Brian Daboll isn’t buying it.
“Yeah, they’re 10-4,” Daboll said dryly before practice on Wednesday. “They’re pretty good.
Pardon Daboll for not accepting the demise of the Eagles as genuine.
Daboll was named the NFL Coach of the Year for leading the Giants into the playoffs in 2022 but the award had nothing to do with his work against the Eagles.
The Giants were beaten twice in the regular season by the Eagles (48-22 and 22-16) and thrashed in an NFC divisional playoff game (38-7).
It was the first time in franchise history the Giants lost three games to the same team in one season.
Rookie Tommy DeVito said his sudden celebrity status as the Giants starting quarterback has taught him a lesson, as far as how to handle his business off the field.
He recently hired new representation for his off-the-field endeavors after a misunderstanding with an appearance at a New Jersey pizzeria led to bad publicity for him.
“Everything you do is under a microscope times a hundred, even more now,” DeVito said.
“Anything that happens is going to be in some kind of article somewhere, like how this happened.
I’m sure if this happened a month ago, it probably wouldn’t or would not have happened how it did, but it did. Got cleaned up but just continue to be yourself though.”
The Giants need yet another new kicker.
Veteran Randy Bullock, acquired after Graham Gano was lost to a knee injury, strained his hamstring in the first quarter of last Sunday’s 24-6 loss in New Orleans and will not be ready to return this week.
That means Cade York, a 22-year-old who has been on the practice squad, will make his Giants debut.
He’s not great,’’ Daboll said of Bullock, who hit a 56-yard field goal against the Saints in the first quarter and then had to leave the field after the ensuing kickoff. “So that’s something we’ll work through here and see where he is. But I’m not expecting him to be ready.’’
York, a 2022 fourth-round pick of the Browns out of LSU, last season went 24 of 32 on field goals, with a long kick of 58 yards, as a rookie.
He was waived by the Browns this past August, signed to the Titans’ practice squad and two months later, the Giants signed him.
