News: Kenny Miller Reveals Shocking Trio of Advantages Propelling Rangers Ahead of Celtic in Title Race

The Ibrox side are celebrating going back to the summit of Scottish football following the weekend’s fixtures, a 3-0 win over St Johnstone sending the Gers top.

This was after Celtic had been held at home by Kilmarnock the day previously.

Philippe Clement has overturned a seven-point deficit to regain a foothold in the title race but the Belgian manager has been quick to turn his focus back to each game as it comes.

Nonetheless, Kenny Miller has been talking about the title credentials of both Rangers and Celtic and reckons three things currently set both sides apart.

Talking as part of the latest Scottish Football Podcast, the former Rangers striker claims that Philippe Clement and co “have to labelled as favourites”.

This is because Miller believes the Gers have the momentum, the form, and the atmosphere behind them as things stand.

“There’s an air around Celtic Park at the moment,” said Miller. “As if they’re waiting for something to happen because they’re really frustrated and maybe upset with certain transfer windows.

“Whereas on the other side of the city, 1-1 against Aberdeen at Ibrox, I’ve been in that place. There can be tension, there can be nervousness, there can be anxiety, there can be frustrations.

“See that night there was a real calmness and a belief that the team would go on and get the job done and Todd Cantwell popped up with the winning goal.

“I just think at this moment in time momentum is on Rangers’ side, form is on Rangers’ side, I think the environment and the atmosphere surrounding the team is on Rangers’ side.

“So I think they have to be labelled as favourites at this moment in time.”

Whilst Kenny Miller has Rangers favourites to snatch the title from Old Firm rivals Celtic, there will be no-one inside Ibrox getting carried away.

The Gers team have been relentless in their preparations and focus under Philippe Clement and the Belgian manager is determined to keep that going in the remainder of the season.

Rangers are competing on three fronts this season and with harmony in the squad building by the match there’s a real hope we’re on the brink of something legendary.

But the only way we will be able to achieve a domestic treble and – whisper it quietly – something special in the Europa League is by hard work, focus, and determination.

Philippe Clement has spoken previously about fans getting carried away but you can be rest-assured that even if we are now title favourites, no one inside Ibrox will be losing their marbles.
