The adductor injury that Bromell suffered in May at a race in Savona, Italy on May 15, is the reason for his withdrawal. Bromell’s agent attested to the injury’s enduring nature, saying it has been hurting him during training and rendering him unfit for the trials. “Trayvon hurt his adductor in the race in Savona,” his agent told CITIUS MAG.
“He has been feeling it on and off since then. It has been bothering him in training this week so unfortunately he won’t be ready for the Trials. We hope he will be back competing in a few weeks.
The injury news was also shared in a tweet from the Track & Field Gazette. The American sprinter has a strong 100-meter history.
In both 2015 and 2022, he won bronze medals at the World Championships. Bromell’s talent came to display early as he broke the 10-second barrier in the 100 meters, becoming the first junior athlete to do so with a time of 9.97 seconds.
