“Ryan Williams Drops Bombshell Announcement on His Podcast This Thursday – You Won’t Believe What’s Coming!”

Alabama Crimson Tide receiver Ryan Williams left his mark on college football as a true freshman.

He recorded 865 receiving yards and eight touchdowns last season on 48 receptions. After performing well on the football field, he will try his hand in the podcast world.Williams is hosting a podcast with defensive back Jaylen Mbakwe called the “New Wave Show.” On Thursday, Williams announced that Alabama defensive back Dre Kirkpatrick Jr. would be the third member of the podcast in an X post. Williams, Mbakwe and Kirkpatrick were all members of Alabama’s 2024 recruiting class.

Williams and Mbakwe were five-star recruits, while Kirkpatrick was a three-star prospect.

Kirkpatrick is the son of former Alabama defensive back Dre Kirkpatrick, who played for the Crimson Tide from 2009-11.

Mbakwe and Kirkpatrick saw the field as true freshmen. Mbakwe played in 12 games, while Kirkpatrick played in 13.

Mbakwe recorded 15 total tackles, one tackle for loss and one interception in 2024. Kirkpatrick accounted for three total tackles.

Alabama just finished its first season under head coach Kalen DeBoer. It was a year of highs and lows for the Crimson Tide.

Alabama started off 4-0 after beating the No. 2 Georgia Bulldogs 41-34. The Crimson Tide fell back down to Earth after losing to the Vanderbilt Commodores the following week 40-35.

DeBoer lost to the Tennessee Volunteers and Oklahoma Sooners as well. The first-year head coach also had ranked wins over the Missouri Tigers and LSU Tigers.

His first season in Tuscaloosa ended with a 19-13 loss to the Michigan Wolverines in the ReliaQuest Bowl.

Williams, Mbakwe and Kirkpatrick begin their second season with Alabama on Aug. 30 against the Florida State Seminoles.
